Book Review: The Archer by Paulo Coelho

A 130-page book of illustrations and texts, this minimalist literary piece comprises of a short plot about self-discovery and awakening of hidden passion. Out of the three books that I bought, I read this first to encourage me reading further as this is easy to finish. Upon reading, you will encounter deep life lessons masked in simple elements and universal truths. Though this book should be quick to read, you will find yourself pausing every page to digest its message.

Here are my takeaways from this book:
1. Look for people to surround you who would inspire you, those who are not afraid to make mistakes, those who are not afraid to be vulnerable, and those who enjoy life no matter the circumstances.

2. Allow your mind and body to rest and recover as you have limits.

3. Do not be discouraged if you fail to hit your target. Never be afraid to try and take risk as you will never know what changes you need to make. Use your failures to discover what needs to be improved, and your successes to be joyful and build up your self-confidence.
