Palawan: A Paradise

January 18, around 1400H, was our flight to Puerto Princesa airport via Cebu Pacific. I remember I had an anxiety attack when we were going to the airport. I'll tell you a secret, it was my first travel by plane! :) Yep, you read it right. And because I have acrophobia so the anxiety attack was justified, right? 😁

When we arrived, we had to wait for our friends as their flight schedule was hours after ours. So we took time and did some photo walk while waiting.

When they arrived, we headed straight to El Nido, a 5-6 long hour road trip from the airport. We arrived at our lodging place near the El Nido port at around 0100H. We took a rest from a tiring trip to be ready for the following day's adventure.

Basically, our 2-day adventure in El Nido was consumed by island hopping. Below are some snippets.

Then, night of the 20th of January, we headed back to Puerto Princesa and took another 5 long hours of road trip. Midnight, we arrived at Bettina's Bed & Breakfast place.  It was a very pretty, very cozy, and very instagrammable place. They also served cute breakfast.

Third day, January 21st, we were supposed to go straight to the Underground River after breakfast but we took a detour in Ugong Rock Formation.

It was worth it. The adventure was so nice, so as the view. We had wall climbing and also, we squeezed our bodies into the openings of the rock formations. Ugong means a resonant sound from vibrations of the rock formations when you tap or touch it. When we reached the top, there was a nook were you can take a photo ops along with the beautiful view from behind.

We, then, headed to the drop off for the Underground River. But first, we had a sumptuous buffet lunch prior taking a boat ride. Then, we  enjoyed a short tour in the one of the New 7 Wonder's of Nature, the Underground River.

We concluded our trip with great memories. As you know, I think, it was days after this trip when COVID-19 entered Philippines so we were really blessed we had fun prior the spread of SARS-CoV-2. I hope that this pandemic would come to an end so we could again, explore the wonders of Philippines and share it with you.

For now, keep safe, everyone.

See you in my next post! Thanks for dropping by.

Hugs,
